Dear Brethren,

We have just ordered 6,500 more Bibles. However, there have been delays in manufacturing the special Bible paper, as well as delays in shipping it to the printers. As a result, the Bibles will be printed late July or early August. This means we will not receive them until the first part of September. It will be a beautiful Bible. It will also be the most complete edition we have produced, because we have added a number of updates to further clarify several difficult scriptures. We are also nearing completion of our new 300-page transcript book with CDs, The Love of God—Surpassing Human Knowledge. And finally, we will be printing 3,000 more copies of America and Britain—Their Biblical Origin and Prophetic Destiny.

We have a lot of traffic on our websites cbcg.org or truthofgod.org and churchathome.org. We also have a YouTube channel featuring our weekly Sabbath services and Church at Home presentations. Plus, our live-streamed Sabbath services are viewed by over 1200 brethren each week. We will have detailed reports for you in the upcoming July letter.

The Christian Biblical Church of God is dedicated to Restoring Original Christianity—For Today. That means the original Gospel as revealed and taught by Jesus Christ and His personally chosen apostles—and faithfully preserved in the God-breathed Holy Bible. We believe and practice the Word of God—Old and New Testaments. Thus, we are scripturalists. We strictly follow the Bible, recapturing its true meaning by “comparing scripture with scripture” in order to prove all things. The Word of God is the truth of God from the God of truth—so that we may live by “every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:4; Luke 4:4).

We do not teach or practice traditions of men—regardless of their claims, whether from Judaism, Catholicism, or Protestantism. In the 16th century, when William Tyndale was translating the Bible into English, the founding battle cry of Protestantism was sola scriptura, meaning we must believe “the Scriptures and the Scriptures only.” Today, over 500 years later, that original motto has been long forgotten and ignored by Protestants and rejected by Catholics. The result is that all of Orthodox Christendom has gone astray and is now merely practicing various forms of “Christianized” pagan traditions, teachings, and philosophies of men.

These counterfeits actually began in the days of the apostles. Leading up to the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 AD, the subversion of the churches of God by false ministers with false teachings was gaining momentum. In the mid 60s, the apostle Jude, the half-brother of Jesus, wrote an urgent epistle sounding the alarm that an insidious apostasy was gaining power: “Beloved, when personally exerting all my diligence to write to you concerning the common salvation, I was compelled to write to you, exhorting you to fervently fight for the faith, which once for all time has been delivered to the saints. For certain men have stealthily crept in, those who long ago have been written about, condemning them to this judgment. They are ungodly men, who are perverting the grace of our God, turning it into licentiousness, and are personally denying the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ” (Jude 3-4).

Thus, true ministers of God are to feed the flock—to teach and prepare the brethren for the return of Christ and the Kingdom of God—and preach the true Gospel: “Now the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them to meet Him. And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go and make disciples in all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even until the completion of the age’ ” (Matt. 28:16-20).

After Jesus ascended to the throne of God to present Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sin of the world, He appeared later that same day to the disciples. At that time He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures and expanded the message of how to preach the Gospel to the world: “And He said to them, ‘These are the words that I spoke to you when I was yet with you, that all the things which were written concerning Me in the Law of Moses and in the Prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.’ Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, ‘According as it is written, it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day. And in His name, repentance and remission of sins should be preached to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. For you are witnesses of these things’ ” (Luke 24:44-48).

On the 40th day after Jesus’ original ascension to the Father, He appeared to the apostles for the last time. On this momentous day, He further expanded the mission of preaching the Gospel to the world: “So then, when they were assembled together, they asked Him, saying, ‘Lord, will You restore the kingdom to Israel at this time?’ And He said to them, ‘It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has placed in His own authority; but you yourselves shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses, both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and unto the ends of the earth’ ” (Acts 1:6-8).

The phrase unto the ends of the earth is clearly a prophecy for all the churches of God from that time until Jesus’ return to continue preaching the Word of God, the Gospel of the Kingdom, through the writings of the apostles. Obviously, by the time the apostles died they had not gone to the “ends of the earth” with the Gospel. But their writings—the New Testament—have. Please see “Why Are There So Many Bibles in the World? on page x-xi in The Holy Bible In Its Original Order. This short essay shows that Jesus prophesied that the Gospel, the Word of God, would be published in all the world before the end would come: “But the end is not yet…. And the gospel must first be published among all nations” (Mark 13:7, 10).

Putting these passages together, we can see that what Jesus commanded was an age-lasting mission for the Church of God. It is my continuous prayer that all the brethren and ministers in all the various churches of God would yield to God and faithfully carry out Jesus’ command. Jesus began His ministry in Galilee by “proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, ‘The time has been fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is near at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel’ ” (Mark 1:14-15). Jesus’ announcement of the coming kingdom continues today for the churches of God. This is what we need to be preaching and teaching.

On an individual level, each one of us has a part in preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God—through our lives as a light to the world, as well as our service as part of a church of God. Jesus promised, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world for a witness to all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matt. 24:14). In recent years, not understanding what was taking place in the churches of God, some ministers and brethren had thought that this warning would be left for the Two Witnesses to do. While it is true that they will have a tremendous witness and work to do, we should never assume that we can sit back and relax and not preach the Gospel—leaving it to them. To do so would be a great dereliction of our duty before God.

The apostle Paul understood that he had a God-given responsibility to preach the Gospel, as he explained to the Corinthians: “For though I preach the gospel, there is no reason for me to boast because an obligation has been laid upon me. And woe to me, if I do not preach the gospel! For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if I do this against my will, I have been entrusted with a ministry” (I Cor. 9:16-17).

He also understood that his ministry was a stewardship from God—a sacred trust committed to him by God: “[Let] every man regard us as ministers of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Beyond that, it is required of stewards that one be found faithful” (I Cor. 4:1-2).

All of us need to view our calling in the same way—a stewardship, a calling of truth, love, and faithfulness—because God the Father and Jesus Christ have personally chosen to dwell in us through the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, while we live in the world, we are not a part of the world. This fact is especially evident during the worldly holiday seasons, because we reject those pagan days and instead keep the weekly Sabbath and the annual feasts and holy days of God.

We are not to be partakers of the world’s ways and religions. Paul warned of this when he wrote, “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and lawlessness have in common? And what fellowship does light have with darkness? And what union does Christ have with Belial? Or what part does a believer have with an unbeliever? And what agreement is there between a temple of God and idols?

For you are a temple of the living God, exactly as God said: ‘I will dwell in them and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Therefore, come out from the midst of them and be separateand touch not the unclean, and I will receive you; and I shall be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty…. Now then, beloved, since we have these promises, we should purge ourselves from every defilement of the flesh and the spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (II Cor. 6:14-18; 7:1).

So we need to be faithful, because we have been called to eternal life, to be a part of the Family of God—to become immortal spirit beings at the return of Christ and the first resurrection. Always remember, Jesus loves us—He died for us. The Father also loves us—and answers our prayers! This is why we are to pray directly to God the Father, as Jesus said, “[Y]ou shall ask in My name; and I do not tell you that I will beseech the Father for you, for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God” (John 16:26-27). John’s messages are critical, teaching us what God wants us to believe, know, and do.

On the other hand, the Orthodox Christianity of this world—under the deception of Satan the devil along with an antichrist spirit—does not have the true Father and the Son. Their mixture of truth and error—and their rejection of God’s Sabbath and holy days coupled with a counterfeit love of God—is an exact duplicate of what John and the brethren were experiencing in their time.

Once we understand the simplicity of John’s messages—the love of God, keeping the commandments, keeping the Sabbath and holy days—we can understand the deeper truths of God. We can be restoring in our lives original Christianity. John continues: “Little children, it is the last time; and just as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have risen up, by which we know that it is the last time. They went out from among us, but they were not of us because if they were of us, they would have remained with us; nevertheless, they left that they might be exposed to show that they all were not of us…. I did not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and you understand that not one lie comes from the truth. Who is the liar if it is not the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is the antichrist—the one who denies the Father and the Son. Anyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either. Therefore, let what you have heard from the beginning dwell in you; if what you have heard from the beginning is dwelling in you, then you will be dwelling in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us: eternal life” (I John 2:18-19, 21-25). And again, “The one who continues in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son” (II John 9).

Through the sacrifice of Christ, the Father has reconciled us to Himself personally. Paul writes: “And all things are from God, Who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation” (II Cor. 5:18). This gives us direct access to God the Father, with God’s Holy Spirit within, through personal prayer and Bible study: “And that He might reconcile both [Jews and Gentiles] to God in one body through the cross, having slain the enmity [of human religions and human nature] by it. Now when He came, He preached the gospel—peace to you who were far off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have direct access by one Spirit to the Father” (Eph. 2:16-18).

The End Time Universal Deception: Satan the devil is actively deceiving the whole world in nearly every aspect of life—every institution, every government, and all religions (Rev. 12:9). In the last days of the apostles, the Church was being engulfed by false teachings and a “universe of deception.” John writes: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this test you can know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God. And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not from God. And this is the spirit of antichrist, which you heard was to come, and even now it is already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because greater is He Who is in you than the one who is in the world. They are of the world; because of this, they speak of the world, and the world listens to them. We are of God; the one who knows God listens to us; the one who is not of God does not listen to us. By this means we know the Spirit of the truth and the spirit of the deception” (I John 4:1-6; also see Matt. 24:5, 11, 24).

Today, we are experiencing the same deception on a far greater scale because the world’s system—the “Mystery of Lawlessness”—is now fully developed. In the book of Revelation, God identifies this system of religion and government as “BABYLON THE GREAT.” In a vision, John saw this final phase of worldwide lawless deception:

“And one of the seven angels who had the seven vials came and spoke with me, saying to me, ‘Come here; I will show you the judgment of the great whore who sits upon many waters [peoples and nations and languages (verse 15)]; with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.’

“Then he carried me away in the spirit to a wilderness; and I saw a woman [the religious system of the world, led by the False Prophet] sitting upon a scarlet beast [a world governmental system—Rev. 13] that had seven heads and ten horns, full of names of blasphemy. And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and was adorned with gold and pearls and precious stones; and she had a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominations and the filthiness of her fornication; and across her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And after seeing her, I wondered with great amazement.

“Then the angel said to me, ‘Why are you amazed? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. The beast that you saw was, and is not, but is about to come up out of the abyss and to go into perdition. And those who dwell on the earth, whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, shall be astonished when they see the beast that was, but is not, and yet is.

“ ‘Here is the mind that has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. And there are seven kings; five are fallen, and one is, and the other has not yet come; and when he has come, it is ordained that he remain a little while. And the beast that was, and is not, he is also the eighth, and is from the seven, and goes into perdition. And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but shall receive authority as kings for one hour with the beast. These all have one mind, and shall give up their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb shall overcome them; for He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful’ ” (Rev. 17:1-14; also see Rev. 19:11-21).

For us living in the end time, this “Babylon the Great” is even more intensive, oppressive, and invasive than during the final days of the apostle John. This is because of modern media, the Internet, and technology—smart phones, computers, and AI—affecting all nations and peoples. Ultimately, God’s final judgment on “Babylon the Great” will involve the entire world. John describes it this way: “And after these things I saw an angel descending from heaven, having great authority; and the earth was illuminated with his glory. And he cried out mightily with a loud voice, saying, ‘Babylon the Great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a habitation of demons, and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hated bird; because ALL NATIONS have drunk of the wine of the fury of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the power of her luxury.’

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, ‘Come out of her, My people, so that you do not take part in her sins, and that you do not receive of her plagues, for her sins have reached as far as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. Render to her as she has rendered to you; and give to her double, even according to her works. In the cup that she mixed, give her back double. To the degree that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, give to her as much torment and sorrow. For she says in her heart, “I sit a queen enthroned, and am not a widow; and in no way shall I experience sorrow.” For this very reason, her plagues shall come in one day—death and sorrow and famine; and she shall be burned with fire; for the Lord God, Who executes judgment upon her, is powerful. Then the kings of the earth who have committed fornication with her and have lived luxuriously, will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning’ ” (Rev. 18:1-9).

This is why we need to continue to preach the prophecies of the end times for all who will truly repent and come to God the Father and Jesus Christ. We will continue to preach Restoring Original Christianity—For Today! Come out of Babylon the Great—this world’s satanic ways! Repent! Return to God! In the not too distant future, Christ will be returning to this earth! The Kingdom of God is near—repent and believe the Gospel!

Brethren, in our own lives, we need to draw close to God in heartfelt prayer and the daily study of God’s Word, so that we can grow in grace and knowledge and always be overcoming. We thank God the Father and Jesus Christ daily for the goodness and mercy shown to all of God’s people. We thank you for your continued love and faithfulness to God and to each other. We thank you for your prayers for us and all the brethren, and for your faithfulness in tithes and offerings. We pray that God will bless you and keep watch over you in everything. We continue to pray for you, for your health and your healing. May God’s love and grace continue to be upon you in all circumstances.

With love in Christ Jesus,
